The St. Elizabeth Sisterhood of The Nativity of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church is currently undergoing a joyful revival, and we earnestly call upon all who love the Lord and His Holy Church to partake in this foundational ministry. From the very inception of our parish, the Sisterhood has labored actively—raising funds for the construction of the church and hall, maintaining the pristine beauty of the temple, organizing fellowship meals, and attending to the weak. However, as the ranks of the sisters have grown thin over the years, the heavy burden of these cares has fallen upon the shoulders of only a few. We must not allow these noble traditions to fade! Just as the holy Myrrh-Bearing Women once followed Christ, the sisters are called to be the active hands and heart of our community (and truthfully, we rely on them to preserve the clergy from attempting to arrange the altar flowers themselves!). This shared responsibility is the direct fulfillment of the apostolic commandment: "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (1 Peter 4:10).

We invite volunteers for a variety of obediences suited to everyone’s strength and heart: from immediate deeds like laundering towels, kitchen assistance, and floral decoration, to essential leadership roles including meal team coordinators, treasurer, secretary, and director of the Sisterhood. As the golden-mouthed hierarch reminds us regarding our shared duty: “We must not only love one another, but also express this love by our deeds.” - St. John Chrysostom - [Homilies on the Acts of the Apostles].
